Hashin' for heat with solar

Hello fellow hashers,

I am writing to share a recent experience with Dylan @ Exergy.

I recently purchased Home assistant and had some questions as I was completely new to the platform 3 days ago. I reached out to Tyler regarding some help and he pointed me to Dylan.

Three days has passed since reaching out to Dylan and I am now automating miners on/curtail like a boss. I am using solar assistant’s MQTT broker to bring data from the off grid solar Inverter into HA, Running HACS to bring miner data in via the Exergy Stealth miner Luxor integration. With all this combined and a Victron smart shunt looped into solar assistant; I am able to automate miners based off battery state of charge which is large improvement over using battery voltage as a trigger, as voltage fluctuates greatly with load and PV inputs. Home assistant also allows for multiple if/ then logics to be programmed so if inverter heat is an issue you can absolutely have HA (Stealth Miner) wait until inverter temp is below x before miners spool up.

Dylan answered all questions I had into late evening hours for 2 nights in a row. I offered to direct some hash at a personal pool of his to pay for his time and he declined. Just goes to show that the folks at Exergy are legit and really about bringing more hash online, even if its not their hash.

If any of you request more details post up, till then, happy hashing!
